  • 1 ½ cup (198g) Cascade Milling Organic Pancake Mix

    ½ cup (113g) melted unsalted butter

    1/4 cup (48g) light brown sugar

    1 tbsp (7.9g) cinnamon

    1 cup (240ml) whole milk

    2 medium (356g) Washington pears, thinly sliced

  • 1. Preheat the oven at 375 degrees F. Grease a 9” square pan.

    2. In another lightly greased pan, put the pear slices with the brown sugar and cinnamon and cook

    slowly on medium heat until soft and slightly caramelized.

    3. In a medium bowl, hydrate the Cascade Milling Organic Pancake Mix with the milk.

    4. Add the melted butter to the batter and mix just until fully incorporated.

    5. Transfer the batter to the greased pan.

    6. Place the pear on top, spreading them evenly across the pan.

    7. Put in the oven for 45-55min or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

    8. Serve with vanilla ice cream or some yogurt.

Tips:

In a rush, there is no need to brown the pears. Put the fresh slices straight with the sugar & the cinnamon on top of the batter.

Fresh pears can be substituted with canned pears. They will be softer, so keep an eye on them if you brown them with sugar.
